Internship at Riserva Privata San Settimio (AN) for selected members from Arcevia Jazz Feast 2014 included joining UNIT+ art collective for composing music applied to crafts and scultures the artists created. Internship members were Marco Varvello (accordion, synths, producing) and Giuseppe Merletti (guitar, loops, saxophone) featuring Sara Zarrinchang and other UNIT+ members on vocals. The peculiar structures that UNIT+ artists were creating, and the deep relation between artifacts and the surrounding nature inspired to Varvello and Merletti three different concept pieces: STRUCTURE - a harmonic loop draws growing concentric circles and representing brotherhood and unity with nature. THE CONE, inspired by a huge cone crafted to host intimate meditation and relation with God and Universe, is a hypnotic electronic sequence created to get away from earthy feelings and reach the unified conscience. LOSE YOURSELF is a journey towards the inner part of oneself, once more with a cycling sequence of chords and involving improvisation.
The artist want to thank Arcevia Jazz Feast for giving them the opportunity of experiencing this new way of creating music.
